WHY EAT LIVE FOODS?

What society uses as a basis to determine what is “normal” are standards of an already diseased society that has deviated from nature to a great degree. Therefore, there are few, if any, standards within that abnormal society that can be used to determine what should be normal human health. This is one reason why it is important to look at ancient history and at societies that have not deviated to such an extent from the standards of hygiene and vegetarian-fruitarian diets.” Dr. Muata Ashby: Kemetic Diet.


Dr. Llaila Afrika, in his book African Holistic Health, says, The
 Nile Valley Africans of Egypt came from the southern direction of Abyssinia between 6000 B.C. and 3000 B.C. This migration of peoples, knowledge, plants, and medicinal herbs caused a concentration of information. The first dynasty (3000 B.C.) was ruled by King Mina and Kings Narmer and Aha. Their relics and coprolith studies (fossil food remains and remains of food in the intestinal tract of mummies) indicate both a primarily raw food diet and medicinal herbs.

The first through the thirteenth dynasties are considered the Old Age empires. These dynasties had good health. In the tomb of Doctor Skar of the fifth dynasty, there were over thirty surgical tools, pictures of scenes depicting activities, a list of the foods he ate, and medical information. Mummified remains and coprolith studies indicate that their teeth were cavity-free and that they were free of bone disease, degenerative disease (i.e., cancer, AIDS), and digestive tract illness; had a natural food diet; and used herbal medicine. The mummies from the dynastic eras after the thirteenth dynasty have indications of appendicitis, ulcers, mastoid disease, and battle wounds. This indicates that the health began to deteriorate as the diet increased in cooked foods, coupled with disease spurred by increased trading and invasions by Europeans.

Hippocrates warned the Europeans that fried foods (cooked food), pastry, and a predominantly animal flesh diet were the cause of constipation and all the diseases of European culture. In contrast, the healthy African had a diet of primarily whole raw foods and used herbs and holistic natural remedies. Coprolite studies, which examined the intestines of the mummies, revealed bee pollen, raw food, coarse fibrous vegetables, and mummified bodies free from constipation.”

In order to sustain life, we need to eat foods that are alive and abundant with life. Live foods are the original foods for humanity. What makes eating live foods so good for us is the fact that:


  • Uncooked foods are loaded with vital minerals and nutrients that are needed to sustain health, as well as digestible enzymes, which are the catalyst to health.


  • Foods eaten in their live state also contain an ample supply of organic water.



When you cook live food above 110 degrees, the enzymes are destroyed, anda majority of its nutritional value becomes depleted in the cooking process. Once this is done the food becomes malnourished, because it has lost its most usable form of proteins, vitamins, minerals, etc. It doesn’t matter if you are consuming some cooked meat or cooked vegetables; once it has been cooked past 110 degrees, it has lost its enzymes and ability to truly nourish the body.

Life depends upon enzymes. Aging depletes natural sources of enzymes, so we have to replace them with the food we eat. The more we cook our food, the more we use up our own enzyme reserves. Cooking also makes the digestion process much harder on our systems. This eventually leads to enzyme exhaustion. Eating live foods will rejuvenate and replenish your cells and cause your body to feel light and energized as a result. When people consume a live foods diet, they have tons of energy, both physical and mental, and perform much better on all levels. Food should be neither cooked nor norfrozen;both extremities alter the natural state of the food. The foods we consume should be the same temperature as your body or room temperature in order to be digested properly.

Have you ever noticed that no other creature cooks its food except humans? No form of insect, mammal, or other cooks their food. Not even predators eat flesh in its raw state. Gorillas, elephants, giraffes, cows, and monkeys eat their foods raw. In addition to the vegetation these animals consume, it is interesting that these animals consume a large amount of green leafy vegetables in the form of leaves, grasses, bushes, etc. The amount of nutrition these animals consume from their green leafy consumption and the effect it has on their health is unbelievable. Foods consumed in their natural form contain the highest amount of absorbable nutrients there is. Their highest amounts of protein, chlorophyll, minerals, vitamins, etc., are present within fresh whole foods. Why kill an animal when we can go directly to the source and get all the nutrients our bodies require from the fruits and vegetables, just like the animals do?

Due to the high digestive enzymes and organic water found in raw foods, almost everyone who switches over to this lifestyle who previously suffered from weight issues testifies to having lost weight. One will experience all sorts of physical changes, such as increased energy, strength, stamina, a healthier immune system, greater flexibility, and also a greater physical appearance due to the loss of accumulated toxins from the body. The most notable changes will be those taking place in the mind! Living foods affect you mentally and spiritually. The mental and spiritual benefits far outnumber the physical benefits of eating this way. Live foods provide oxygen to the brain, allowing you to think more clearly and quickly and make better decisions and choices in life. Malnourished brains do not operate at their highest capacity. Limited thoughts, negative self-image, and lack of concentration take place when individuals consume a lifeless, cooked, processed junk food diet.

With degenerative diseases in excess and mental illness on the rise, we can no longer afford to be lazy and irresponsible where our health is concerned. We must all put more effort into taking care of and honouring our bodies, which we have been blessed to receive from the universe. I guarantee you the results will be more than your mind can ever conceive. You will be healthy, full of life, confident, powerful, regenerated, youthful, focused, full of peace, and prosperous. Those of you wondering why you haven’t been able to manifest the things into your life that you need, take a look at how you are consuming. Religious affiliation, social standing, and education have nothing to do with it; if you eat an unhealthy diet, you will have an unhealthy mind. A mind that is unable to manifest all of what it needs in this life. When people consume healthy foods and their brains are nourished properly, they become some of the most prosperous individuals you will ever meet.

Our bodies are sensitive, and a diet lacking the vital nutrients that are essential to our biochemistry will lead to the inevitable myriad of diseases we currently suffer from. Our only solution is to return back to the diet of our ancestors, who consumed raw and living foods in their unadulterated state—pure, organic, full of life, and good for our minds, bodies, and souls—in order to bring us closer to our creator, in harmony with one another, and full of the love eating a natural diet will give you.
